Important information about the nature, limitations, and appropriate use of ArchiMind outputs.

Effective date: April 27, 2026

1. Nature of ArchiMind Outputs

ArchiMind uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyze architectural drawings and apply building code rule sets. All outputs — including compliance reports, room classifications, egress analyses, door schedule checks, overlays, and JSON data — are generated probabilistically and are subject to the inherent limitations of AI-based analysis.

ArchiMind outputs are design assistance tools only. They are not professional opinions, code compliance certifications, DSA submittal reviews, or engineering determinations of any kind.

2. Known Limitations

You acknowledge that ArchiMind outputs:

  • May contain errors, omissions, misidentifications, or inaccurate measurements.
  • May fail to detect all rooms, doors, corridors, fixtures, or architectural elements in a drawing.
  • Do not account for project-specific variances, approved alternates, or local amendments not reflected in the standard codebook.
  • Are based on CBC 2025 and CBC 2022 editions. Users are responsible for verifying which code edition applies to their specific project.
  • Do not perform structural analysis, seismic analysis, MEP system design, fire protection engineering, or any other licensed engineering service.
  • May not reflect code changes, DSA Information Release updates, or CDE Title 5 amendments issued after the codebook was last updated.
  • Are dependent on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the drawings provided. Incomplete or schematic drawings will produce incomplete results.

3. No Regulatory Endorsement

ArchiMind results have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by:

  • The California Division of the State Architect (DSA)
  • Any local building department or authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • The California Department of Education (CDE)
  • The International Code Council (ICC)
  • Any other regulatory body, standards organization, or licensing board

A passing result from ArchiMind does not mean a project will pass DSA plan check or receive a building permit. A failing result does not mean a project is necessarily non-compliant. All results require professional verification.

4. Professional Responsibility

The architect of record, engineer of record, or other licensed design professional retains sole and exclusive professional responsibility for:

  • All code compliance determinations on any project.
  • All DSA submission documents, plan check responses, and certification applications.
  • All local building permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • All construction documents prepared in whole or in part in reliance on ArchiMind outputs.
  • Independent verification of all ArchiMind results before any professional or regulatory use.

Use of ArchiMind does not satisfy, reduce, or substitute for any professional obligation imposed by the California Architects Practice Act, the Engineers Act, DSA regulations, or any other applicable professional licensing law.

5. Use at Your Own Risk

By using ArchiMind, you accept that outputs are probabilistic, that errors are possible, and that all professional and regulatory responsibility for project compliance remains with you. ArchiMind expressly disclaims liability for any design error, construction cost, permit denial, DSA rejection, code violation, or professional liability claim arising from reliance on Service outputs. See the Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.

6. Reporting Errors

If you identify an error in ArchiMind's analysis — a misidentified room, an incorrect threshold value, a missed element, or an outdated code reference — please report it to info@archimindcbc.com. Accurate error reports help us improve the rule engine and codebook for all users.
